Medical and Dental IT
The network, PCs, and backups for a small South Jersey practice
A small medical or dental office does not need a national MSP speech. It needs the front desk online, the operatories on a separate network from the waiting-room Wi-Fi, and a backup that has been restored once. Izzo Network does that work from Mays Landing for practices in Atlantic County and the Shore.
The waiting room, the front desk, and the operatories are three different networks pretending to be one. A guest on the same Wi-Fi as the charting PCs is the problem we see first. We split them, label the rack, and leave a firewall the office manager can understand.
What we take on
Workstations at the front desk and in the ops. Printers that have to find the right tray. Microsoft 365 for mail and files. A backup of the office PCs and the share, with a restore test so the backup is not a folder nobody has opened. Patching. A named person when something is down before the first patient.
We do not replace your practice-software company. If the charting system is their product, they stay on that ticket. We take the cable, the switch, the Wi-Fi, and the PC it runs on.
Standards for a practice
A medical or dental office is expected to follow the HIPAA Security Rule. We split the waiting-room Wi-Fi from the front desk and the operatories, put a login on each person, turn on MFA for mail, and test a backup restore. A business associate agreement is part of the estimate when the practice needs one. We are not a hospital auditor, and we do not replace your charting vendor.
Where
Practices in Mays Landing, Egg Harbor Township, Linwood, Galloway, Northfield, Somers Point, Atlantic City, and the rest of Atlantic County. The truck leaves from Mays Landing. Remote when it is a login. On site when a switch, an access point, or a workstation needs hands.
The number is still quoted after a short look at the office. How a quote works.
Standards we build to
HIPAA, PCI, and NIST are the rules the office has to meet. We set up the network and the backups to those rules. We are not the auditor who stamps a certificate.
- HIPAAMedical and dental offices
The Security Rule work for a small practice: the waiting-room Wi-Fi stays off the charting PCs, each person has their own login, mail uses MFA, and a backup has been restored once. A business associate agreement is written when the practice needs one. There is no government HIPAA certificate for an IT shop, and we do not pretend to be the auditor.
- PCI DSSRestaurants and retail
Card data does not belong on the same network as the guest Wi-Fi or the office email. We split the register and the card machines onto their own segment. We are not a card-brand auditor. The network split is the part a local crew can actually do.
- NIST CSFAny office that wants a security review
A security review follows the Cybersecurity Framework: identify the gear, protect it, notice when something fails, respond, and recover. That is the checklist. It is not a plaque on the wall.
- Staff and guest Wi-Fi kept apart
- PCs, printers, and Microsoft 365
- Firewall and backups we can test
- On-site when a switch or a workstation needs hands
Best for: Medical offices, dental offices, and other small practices. Service area: South Jersey.
Questions practices ask
- Are you a HIPAA-certified IT company?
- No agency hands an IT shop a HIPAA certificate. The work is the Security Rule: staff and guest networks kept apart, unique logins, MFA on mail, and backups that have been restored. If you need a business associate agreement, it is written before we start.
- Do you support our practice software?
- We support the PCs, the network, Microsoft 365, printers, and the backup. Your practice-software vendor stays the vendor for the charting system. We work next to them when the network is the problem.
- Can the waiting room use Wi-Fi?
- Yes. Guest Wi-Fi stays off the front desk and the operatories. Patients do not land on the same network as the office PCs.
- Who shows up?
- The Mays Landing shop. The same people who answer (609) 415-0011 do the remote work and the visit.
