VLAN Setup for Small Businesses in NJ
Cameras, guests, POS, and office PCs should not live in one flat network. We segment with VLANs so a compromised tablet is not a shortcut to the file server.
Tied to the firewall and the Wi-Fi SSIDs. Useful for medical, retail, and any office that has vendors on site. We document the map.
Best for: New construction, remodels, growing offices. From Mays Landing. Call (609) 415-0011.
Questions
- Is this overkill for ten people?
- Guest and camera isolation is not overkill. Full Cisco theater is. We size it to the office.
- Will VLANs break printers?
- Only if we forget to allow them. We test print from the staff VLAN before we leave.
